Updated my photography website a bit, opted to remove the lack luster mobile version because it wasn’t visually appealing & compressed some of the folders while adding some new examples of my work. Thoughts? Opinions?

Really looking forward to photographing the cosplayers coming to my city both  tomorrow & Sunday. Can’t wait. Cosplayers get my respect. The creativity, the dedication, the time, the effort and the passion. Wish there was a way I could get a staff pass for doing photography there, but alas I see no signs it can be done. Either way, should be fun and hopefully I can get some great shots. If you’re there and manage to see me, feel free to say hi. :3

Next Wednesday at 7pm I will be launching my first photo for my 52 week project, which is a creative self portrait a week for a whole year. In 2010 I attempted the 365 project, which was “a photo a day for a year”. Which proved to be a daunting challenge. Although incomplete, the 365 taught me a great deal about not only creativity but personal insight. I wish to indulge my creativity yet again & I believe the 52 weeks is a good way to start. I’ve written down a few ideas I want to incorporate including Dead Space, Post Apocalyptic, Water Bending, Scott Pilgrim, Sweeney Todd, and much more. I will also be using this opportunity to expand on my writing. Incorporating short stories with each self portrait. As the day approaches I will post a reminder & when the time comes I hope you will all enjoy what it is that I have to show you. And in case you haven’t already seen my work from the 365 project, you can click HERE and it will take you there. Stay Tuned. 

Good morning. Up and awake, getting myself ready for my 1st day of training for my new job at Olan Mills. Supposed to meet with the photographer at 12pm so i’ve decided to get a head start. Originally the plan was to go to VA from Tuesday - Saturday, but I got a call last night stating that maybe that was too much for someone that was just starting. So instead I’ll be going out Columbia, MD for the next 3 days and than on Friday and Saturday I’ll be in Pennsylvania working with somebody else.

All in all I actually have no nervousness, if you know me than you know I’ve been doing photography for almost 4 years and I’m well educated in it and as such I probably won’t be learning anything that I don’t already know. But you never know. More than anything I’m just anxious to start setting things in motion and getting things together.

Also, Toni starts her internship today. She’s going to be interning as a teachers assistant for a 3rd grade class as a part of her masters program. We had a late night ice cream run/parking lot conversation and though she seemed nervous I’m confident that the children are going to love her.

So yeah, wish us both luck and I’ll have a report for you all later on this evening. Hope your day treats you well folks, I’ll ttyl.

I got a call back from the people at Olan Mills. I got the job. After months spent traveling, interviewing, filling out applications, etc, something finally comes through and it’s a job in which I’ll be doing photography…
